Okay, I'm a huge Rocketeer fan. A HUGE fan. The more I reread the original comics, the more I want new Rocketeer comics. Unfortunately, Dave Stevens passed away last year, which was a HUGE loss in this industry and beyond. The man was an incredible draftsman and talent.
Luckily, we're at least getting a Laura Martin-recolored collection to be released later this year! It's a start-- here's hoping someone is able to take the torch from there.  Anyway, here's a piece I worked up recently. One of my free sketchbook pre-order commissions (get yours today! send me a note for details) was a head and shoulder Rocketeer, so that got me in the mood to try drawing him in a full piece in between commissions and pages earlier this week.
